Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks Project
I just love watching watercolour paints mix and move on the paper and with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks there is extra excitement. If you have not used Sparkle Inks before then you have missed a load of fun. They are comprised of high concentration liquid watercolour with added fine glitter.
You can buy them in brush pen form or for more quantity for your cash in jars. The glitter needs to be shaken into the ink and will settle quite quickly, this is fine for the pens as you can just give them a little shake.
My top tip for using the ink from the jars is to give them a good shake then pipette a bit out into a paint pallet, then you can easily stir the glitter into the ink each time you pick it up with your brush. The sparkle looks great when wet but just intensifies more as the ink dries.
They are available in a range of colours but as with all watercolour inks you can mix them or dilute them to produce so many more. Spectrum Noir sell the clear sparkle ink which you can use on other mediums to add sparkle, or use to dilute the other sparkle ink colours without diluting the glitter. However there is so much glitter in this ink if you dilute with tap water there will still be a considerable sparkle.
Single Line Doodle Art Challenge
This week I was challenged to complete a minimalist single line art drawing, where you create a representation of an image without letting your pen leave the paper, and this is what I came up with.
I printed it onto watercolour card and then just went crazy with the sparkle inks. If you would like a copy of my line art click here or on the image to go to my file share where you can download this cat and many other drawings I have created for you to use as a thankyou for supporting me.
