Easy Quick Fur with Alcohol Ink Markers

Colouring Fur can be time consuming depending on how detailed you want to be. If you want photo realistic fur then it can take hours and hours and is best suited to Watercolour or Pencil Crayons. However if you want semi-realistic fur in a short space of time this method using Alcohol Ink Markers could be what you are looking for. This tutorial shows my method using my own Line Art Drawing of this Chilly Dog that you can download to colour along yourself.

Four Step Alcohol Ink Marker Fur

Step 1 - Alcohol Ink Marker Base Layer

Step 2 - Alcohol Ink Marker Dot Blend Detailing

Step 3 - Alcohol Ink Marker Flick Blend Fur (essential - a premium brush nib)

Step 4 - (Optional) Pencil Crayon detailing

I describe and demonstrate all these steps as well as the smooth blending technique for the scarf in my tutorial below.

I would love to see your completed colouring so please share to my Facebook page
